Brain Storm

Better than a brain freeze, I suppose.

So, I took this photo of ice-coated chicken wire during the storm on my birthday:
Looks much prettier large and on black over at flickr!
One of my "artistic" shots, the kind that drives my husband nuts-- nothing's in focus. Can't tell what it is. The subject is not dead center... a "flickr" photo which I saved and uploaded yesterday for "Fence Friday" (it immediately went Explore, which is kind of cool, but completely unrelated to the story). I also posted it on my Facebook page, where a friend commented that it looks like something I would make... queue brain storm!

I spent the rest of my day at work yesterday thinking about a cardigan knit in bramble stitch. The minute I walked in the door at home, I broke out my stitch pattern book, balled up a skein of mega soft & drapey Berroco Ultra Alpaca in a light heathered gray color, searched for the cardigan silhouette I had in mind, and cast on for a gauge swatch.

I finished the swatches today at knitting meetup:

Oh, I know. I can already hear you asking... "But Michelle, don't you already have three unfinished sweaters on the needles?"

Yup. And now I'm going to have four! What's your point?

Udate: Uh, make that five. I forgot about one. G'Night...
